  This was the first year we camped out there all summer and I loved it very much. We've left our trailer out there and plan to stay next summer as well. I only wish that the park would stay open longer. Fall is a nice time to be out there too. Sad day yesterday cuz we had to close up the trailer ... it's gonna bw a long 8 months ... cheers ... til next summer

  Stayed in July 2017. A number of transient sites available in a park that is mostly permanent trailers. There are a number who take great care in their places, while there are others that have been ignored and are run down. It is a shame as this campground is in a beautiful location beside the river and waters of Lake Superior. The site was level and the services were nearby. No problems with the hookups during our stay. Unfortunately the trailer beside us was not occupied by its owners, but they had left a radio turned up quite loud and the bass and sound carried through to our motorhome throughout our three day stay. A complaint went unanswered. WiFi is available only at the office and telephone service was mostly unavailable. The full time residents were extremely friendly and helpful.

  Prebooked our campsite 3 weeks before we went, called day-of to ask about how late we could arrive and they had lost our booking. During that call they said they booked us in for a site but when we arrived other people were on it and the campground was packed, had to camp elsewhere. For the price of a site, should have just gone for a national park, bigger sites and nicer parks.

  I have been renting cabins now for 3 years with friends and family and we are never disappointed such a great crew out at sunset and I look forward to many more years of camping fun

  We camped for a night with the tent. Site 1 closest to the beach. There's a sign that says no dogs on beach, and my dog loves swimming so I was a bit disappointed -- so I snuck her off along some tall grassy path to allow her to swim. Only complaint about site was the basketball court beside it and kids were playing all night past 11p until a cabin camper told them to be quiet. Oh and there's a loud constant beeping coming from the small shack that I can only assume is their water pump.
